AGU Annual Meeting in Washington DC

December 2024. The annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union is taking place in Washington, DC.

The annual meeting of the AGU attracts over 25,000+ scientists, educators, policymakers, journalists and communicators from over 100 countries in the broad field of Earth and space sciences. In December 2024, the meeting is held in Washington, DC.

The HotCores project is here at AGU through it's PI, Sébastien Merkel. We had a presentation on Monday afternoon dedicated to our work on the physical properties of iron at Earth's core conditions, based on experiments at the European XFEL.

The meeting is a good opportunity to discuss and display our results before having them published in the scientific literature, as well as to acknowledge the support of the European Research Council for our research. Now is the time to get some of those papers out!
