Bar des Sciences presentation
On 28 March 2024, S. Merkel gave a presentation at the Bar de Sciences of the Science at the Université de Lille.
The Bar des Sciences is a bi-monthly informal event organized by the Faculté des Sciences et Technologies in which research topics are presented to a wider audience, students, staff members, etc. over 30 minutes during lunchtime.
On March 28, 2024, HotCore's PI went ahead and presented topics related to the Earth's inner core, why it is important for us at the surface, and how advanced materials science experiments can help to understand its current state, past, and future. The discussion was attended by about 40 people, students, staff members, and other researchers, and was the opportunity to present the project to campus members.
