Outreach presentation to the Probus club

Probus is an association of retired people who had been active in their professional lives and come together in local clubs which provide regular opportunities for members to meet others in similar circumstances, with similar levels of interest, make new friends, and maintain and expand their interests. Probus members meet every two weeks and discuss topics led by members of the club or outside participants.

In February 2025, the local antenna of the Probus club asked HotCores's PI to present an introduction on how to explore the interior of the Earth, the properties of the Earth's core, and how it could relate to their daily life. The meeting was an opportunity to present some notions of fundamental research to a diverse crowd and trigger their interest on topic related to the science of deep Planetary interiors.
